Daily DeviationGiven 2009-01-18Anonymous writes: 03310001 by ~akkilic is strange and mysterious. It's all in the concept, and the rough details keep you looking! See how the scribbles are so vibrant and energetic, but the moody mystery of the masky-thingie makes it totally unexpected. The spirals and circles create an upward movement, and the straighter scribbles create a back-and-forth repetition. The eye travels and finds a new texture or way of squiggling around the canvas. You'd think with all this bouncing that it'd be a children's illustration, but there's something sinister we just can't figure. Could be the eye. The deception in the mark making belies a darker something else about this character. I wonder who it is. (Suggested by #fella and Featured by $spinegrinder) |
